I decided I'm going to write my email titles in all caps from here on out so they sound a lot more exciting ;)) also you get 2 whole emails today since I never pressed send on my last weeks email 😅
Well the mission grind is real and every night I am so exhausted. But it is SO rewarding! This week we had about 8 friends in our sacrament meeting which was so awesome cause we've been working so hard on our church invites!! It was also super fun cause all the Hermanas in our branch got to speak! It was my first official talk in Spanish and I think it went pretty good even though I didn't look up once😂 God has given us so many blessings that I am so grateful for...like Google translate🙏
Some highlights from this week are:
• Intercambios! I got to lead my area with my mighty Hermana leader, Hermana Martinez! She's a beast and everyone loved her, it was so fun being with a Spanish speaking comp and it pushed me to speak in Spanish a lot more!• Mini zone conference! We met with our zone and I got to see an mtc friend! We also ate some amazing food and recieved amazing training. • Tried some interesting fruits that were really gross and hopefully I'll never have to eat again 🤞• We cleaned the church! I was lowkey dreading this but it turned out to be the highlight of my week! Our branch mission leader blasted normal music (ugh 😭 I miss normal songs SO BAD) and we all sangre along to jb, adele, and so much more as we cleaned• last but not least... my mom's BDAY!!! It was so fun being able to call everyone and wish her happy bday!! They went to a Dominican restaurant for her bday and tried some of my fav foods/drinks which was so cool! "I love you mommy i love you mommy i love you mommy" *bonus points if you know where that's from*
I think I'm finally starting to hit mission time cause this week went by crazy fast!! Being a missionary is way cool and seeing the gospel change people's lives is worth only listening to hymns and youth album songs (there are some real bangers in the youth album tho don't get me wrong)
I've found a love for studying the scriptures and find motivation, joy, love, and peace every day I study! One verse I love is in the last chapter of 2 Nephi, it says, "I glory in plainness; I glory in truth; I glory in my Jesus, for he hath redeemed my soul!!" I added those exclamation points cause it just feels right to exclaim the Glory of Jesus Christ. How beautiful is it that someone would value YOUR life over theirs and sacrifice ALL for YOU?? I encourage us all to find times in our week to glory in Jesus because He is our Savior, our Redeemer, and our very best friend.
Te Amo mucho mucho mucho,Hermana Whetten😘
PICS: honestly they all send out of order so you can just guess What's going on in all of them :)
