THIS WEEK!!! This has been such an incredible, crazy, exhausting, exciting, spiritual, stressful and just absolutely amazing week!!
Sunday was my last day at the MTC and I had to say goodbye to my wonderful district 😣 It was so hard because we had become so close so fast but thank goodness for messenger and email so we can all stay in contact!! That night the hermanas all pulled an all-nighter so we could pack and clean up our bungalow (bedroom). That was brutal lol
Monday at 3:30 am we loaded up and walked to the travel office! Then we made it onto buses and headed to the airport!! It was such a long day of traveling and after 2 delayed flights,  1 entirely missed flight and 1 last minute flight change we made it to the DR at 2 am Tuesday morning 😅 We met our president and then headed to the mission home!
Tuesday we had a full schedule filled with trainings, interviews, the temple, and even got time to prosilight in a park! It was so fun spending the day with my mission president and his wife, they are the sweetest people ever and I'm so lucky to have them!! That night President Tucker told us our areas and showed is our comps! I was assigned to go to Nizao, a small town on the beach with my awesome trainer Hermana Allred(but the memebers call her todorojo).
Wednesday I rode the guagua (bus) to Nizao and officially started my missionary life out in the field!! I've met so many ppl, had so many conversations (that I mostly smile and nod during), and have had such a great time!!
The people here are so funny and are constantly teasing me for being so pale, blonde, and gringa haha I can't blame them tho cause I am all of those things 😅 I've already gotten a nice sunburn that will hopefully turn into a tan so everyone will leave me alone🙄😂 jkjk the kids here aren't fun to talk to *when I can understand them* and they absolutely love the missionaries!! They will run up to us on the street and tackle us with hugs. It makes my day everytime and makes me remember why I'm here, to help others feel the love of Christ. There have been so many miracles this week that looking back I can't even count them all. God is so so good.
Speaking of God, GENERAL CONFERENCE WAS AMAZING!!! I love this time of year where we get to be humbled by God through the mouths of His leaders. There were so many good talks that answered so many of my prayers, questions, and concerns. During conference a little boy Neiphi took my notebook and flipped through all the pages, I couldn't telling he was in awe that it was all in English or if he just liked my handwriting, but I gave him and his sister a  stickynote to write me a note. Nobody here can say "whetten" which isnt super new to me😂 they always try their best and I got 2 cute notes for "Hermana euter" ❤
The world in Nizao is never-ending and I absolutely love it!! I love the challenges of being a missionary and I know this church is true!! Hope you all had an amazing conference and an amazing week!! Till next pday ✌️
