Happy New Year!'s going to be great!!

Howdy howdy howdy!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas week and New Year’s break. Not to much this week to report back on honestly. This whole town is ghost town right now since the college is on break for a few weeks. Christmas eve and day were the highlights of the week for sure. We were with families in the ward pretty much both days. Christmas eve dinner was something else. LOTS of sea food! Salmon cakes, shrimp and quiche….not my cup of tea! It wasn't my fried chicken that's for sure but it still tasted pretty good. Christmas day was fun. Lots of good food on that day, plus I got to call home for a bit which is always good for the soul. Love my family!

The rest of the week was good. We did lots of walking because the buses are running slower due to the lack of students. We started to see a few less actives that is on one of the bishops list, and that has been cool. They typically live out pretty far so lots of walking as I said before. There was one day a black man, who use to meet with missionaries, stopped and gave us a ride. It was cool as we talked for a few minutes about the Book of Mormon and just God in general. Left him with a card and hope to see him soon. The temperature has been great! I am so glad it's not hot anymore. All this walking around and hot humid temperatures really wouldn't go well together #blessed.

I read a really funny scripture the other day. I decided to tape it on the wall right by our toilet. It is the scripture Alma reads
"Can you think to sit upon your thrones in a state of thoughtless stupor, while your enemies are spreading the work of death around you? Yea, while they are murdering thousands of your brethren."
Just remember Satan will never stop or take "breaks"...always be on your toes! Remember that tidbit as you make your resoultions for 2020!! haha
Have a great week!
Thank you for all the gifts and cards that you all sent! I appreciate them all!

Love Elder Brian
