I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving week and had plenty of Turkey and mashed potatoes. This week has been crazy, but good!
The beginning of the week was cool. We had Zone Leader exchanges twice this week. Different, but fun. I was in Buena Vista for the first time. We were able to teach a few lessons and try to meet with a bunch of people. I was with Elder Whiteley again. He is a cool kid.
Thanksgiving was great. Lots of good food and Company. Plus, we got to call home and chill with the other Elders as well. That's always an enjoyable time. We went to the Huntsman’s for dinner and had their brown bag Turkey. It tastes a lot better than it sounds for sure. The weekend was my favorite part. We had Exchanges again and I was with Elder Meyers in Lexington. He is an awesome Elder from Hawaii. We were able to go teach a couple people and have a fun time. Before we exchanged back, we went to this big local truck stop and checked it out. After that I could see myself in the future being a truck driver…haha (just kidding mom!)
Sunday was good. One of the best testimony meetings ever. We also got to sit in a Primary class for a bit too. It was the end of the month and we had a few extra miles, so we headed out to the deep edges in our area to go and meet people. For a whole hour we drove trying to find this man’s house. Eventually we found it but it was so in the back woods we couldn't drive in. So we walked in and had a good meeting with this man. I am talking out in the back woods and down in the holla!!
My favorite part of the week was district council. We went around in a circle and named things we were grateful for. It was SOOO SPIRITUAL. It made me really think how much the Lord has truly blessed me. I am so grateful for my great family and friends. I am also so grateful for this gospel and for this opportunity I have to share it with others every day in Virginia. Remember to be continually grateful for all the many blessings in your life. I promise it will be worth it.
Love to you all,
Love Elder Brian
