Happy Turkey Day!

Hey ya’ll!
I hope everyone has had a good week! This one was good, not too much going on. The beginning of the week was pretty standard stuff. Just a bunch of service on Wednesday. It's never really a great time but we sure meet alot of nice people. Thursday was a pretty busy day!! It started with us having district council. We talked about some cool ideas for the new Light the World campaign the church has coming up. We also discussed the importance of making good commitments and it ended up being a good meeting.
President and Sister Newman were in town and came to visit us. Our interviews were super good and I learned alot from President Newman for sure. We ended up having exchanges with the YSA Elders. I was able to go with Elder Knighton on SVU campus for a little bit. It was an enjoyable time and we taught a recent convert named Woody about the Plan of Salvation. Very spiritual lesson for sure. SVU is a great place to be and teach! The members are awesome to the missionaries. The work is a little slow here because everyone is leaving for Thanksgiving break this week. The rest of the weekend was good. We ended exchanges and went back to work in Lexington. Once again out on the prowl looking for perspectives on the Elders list.
Sunday was really spiritual....besides the time I looked up during the prayer and saw a kid licking his dads back. Yummy! Haha We were able to help teach in priest quorum. We read out of PMG and taught about the restoration. We also helped with a baptism that afternoon. The spirit was super strong as people gave talks and the music played.

One of the funniest things this week was Sunday night! The Elders Quorum president had us over for dinner and it was great. After the dinner we shared a message with his family. It was a short clip from this past general conference. President Nelson mentioned how we have covenanted to help and serve others. They seemed to like the message. When it was just us he said " Elders... that was the same lesson from 2nd hour 2 weeks ago."
Just goes to show how important it is to pay attention in class!!
I want to wish you all a very Thanksgiving this week! I am so thankful for all of you, for your love and support on my mission! I feel your love and your prayers daily!
