Hey hey hey!!!
How Is everyone? This week has been very eventful with alot of excitement and great experiences.
We went on exchanges with the YSA elders. I was in Lexington with Elder Nighton. He is getting trained right now and is awesome. He is a very good missionary who loves to work hard! I love that! That will bless him throughout his mission. We had fun and talked to some cool people. This week we also did service at a local food pantry. We meet a lot of cool people that we wouldn’t meet otherwise. That same day we had to make cookies for our church tour! Unfortunately, it was cancelled but we got a lot of cookies for ourselves!
Thursday, we had a tri-zone conference in Roanoke. I got to see a lot of friends from all over the mission including Elder Davis. It was spiritually uplifting, and I walked away with a few things I could work on to be a better missionary. I had a sad and hard time as I had to say goodbye to President and Sister Lindhart! As hard as it was to say goodbye, I know he needs to be home to get the care he needs for his cancer. I will miss them and always have a special place in my heart for them.
I am excited for this new page in my mission. The Newman’s, our new mission president, will do great and I am excited to meet them.
The next morning was super fun! For district council we all went over and listened to Elder Gay! He is in the presidency of the seventy. We met up after and talked about it as a district. The zone leaders did exchanges with us after. I went with Elder Bell again in Lexington. We worked a small town called Glascow. It was such a good day. We were able to teach and find a lot of cool people. Elder Bell came out with me last July on the mission, so it was cool to catch up. He is such a great Elder.
Saturday was the best day of the week. We volunteered at the fair. Haha! I loved it! I got to watch the lambs at the stock show, and I was thrilled!! It was soooo fun. Everyone knew I used to show sheep, so they kept asking me alot of questions. Later we had to go to the ward party. Lots of fun games and great food. After that we went back and watched the bull riders. Not the best rodeo but still a good time.
Spiritual Thought: A quote from Elder Gay...
"When you are ascending a mountain the goal is not to reach the top, but to return home." It compared that to life and our journey through this mortal experience. Returning to God is the goal we all have.
Hope you all have a good week!
Thanks for all of your love and support!
