Bedford, VA

Elder Ardeama

Hey everyone!

I hope your week has been going well! We have had a crazy week here in Bedford.

IElder Aardema transferred to West Virginia again for his last little bit...I really loved that guy. He was a great missionary. We spent the majority of the time helping him pack and saying goodbye to all of our ward members. I really love this branch! They are some of the most kind-hearted people I know.
My new comp is Elder Burchard...he is a long-time mission friend! He is a great missionary and we are so excited to work together. He is from Mesa AZ. I found out I'm the district leader again and held my first district council, which was pretty good, I would say! We set our goals for the district and the vision of finding the elect this transfer. It should be good. After we met, we all went and helped an older lady plant some trees. She was cool, but she breeds rabbits so she had to tell us all about it! What an education!
The heat here has been crazy hot! It is so humid, we just sweat. It is embarrassing when you knock on doors and you are sweating profusely! People wonder what the heck we are doing. But we keep on knocking. Not to much luck out here. We are still working with Andria and hope she will have a change of heart.
Saturday was super fun because we helped our less active friend Robby again. He always gets us to do some service for him and in return he takes to Taco Bell! He is a great guy! We walked into Lowes with him and while we were waiting in line, I sparked up a conversation with this older gentleman. He told me his day will get better if he can get out of Lowes and then said they put the the S in the wrong place... It should be in the beginning….Slowes!! (slow service I guess!!)
I met a guy at church yesterday. He served his mission here in Virginia a few years ago and came to visit his converts in the branch. He knew my Uncle Buck and some people in Antimony. I don't remember his name, but he was super cool dude.

As you may know, I will be hitting my year mark this week and I just wanted to let everyone know how much I love my mission. I wouldn’t change this past year for the world! My testimony has grown so much. This is Christ’s church, there is a true prophet on the earth today, the Book of Mormon is true, and the Gospel has been restored. Thank you for all the love and support thus far. I couldn’t do it without you. Have a great week!
Love you guys

Love Elder Brian
