Fishing in the WV

Howdy ya'll!
I am so glad that it is Monday and we have the opportunity to check in with family and friends. Hope you all had a fantastic week! Transfer calls were this weekend and I will be staying in Cowen for another one!

Our week started off pretty good! We were able to teach 4 lessons on Tuesday and get in contact with some people. It was a great way to start off the week! Wednesday was just as good too... we had the opportunity to have interviews with President Lindhart that morning. What a great guy! Always love to ask him a few questions and get some great council from him. After we had district council and then went on exchanges with the Flatwoods Elders. I was blessed enough to go with Elder Anderson! He is from Fillmore, Utah. We found the Flatwood Elders some really cool people to start teaching and we were able to meet a lot of new people as well!
There was this funny black guy in KFC we met while there... I am filling up my drink and when I turned around I saw Eldler William's talking with him, I was like oh great... he is going after the greenie. But he handled it great and the Flatwood Elders are gonna help him quit smoking. Haha
The weekend was pretty slow! Not much happening really! Had a couple more lessons and knocked on a few more doors. The weather has been crazy! We were walking back from trying to find a guy and it just starts pouring!!!! We got drenched! Fast and testimony meeting was great! We took up the whole hour this time and the spirit was so strong! My favorite part was when one of my favorite members got up and started explaining why she was so sore and needed a cane. Well apparently, she started taking dance classes this week! So, she needed the cane for one of her dances hahaha! I've never laughed so hard in a fast and testimony meeting in my life! That same day we met up with a Less Active Family who loves the missionaries! So we are excited to start working with them as well.

What I want to know is why people always say that their dog won’t bite but they are trying to hold it back just so we don’t get attacked? Happened this week with another less active name Kay. She had to hold her poodle doodle looking dog off with a broom just so we could get out of the house, yet claims that it we will not be bit. Crazy dog people! haha

Spiritual Thought: Matthew 4
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
This is one of my favorite scriptures and I decided to share it for two reasons!
1- We may all be called to be fishers of men one day! But the way we can do that now is to invite others to come into the fold and do well in our callings...just like they talked about last week in conference.
2- I just bought my West Virginia fishing license and thought this scripture would go great with it!

All of ya have a good week!
Love you all!
