The Challenger

Hi everyone back home!
What a great week for sure... a lot of good things happening in these parts! We started off with a lesson at a less actives home. We are planning to baptize their son this month so that is exciting.
Tuesday, we went up into Pennsylvania and tracted for a little bit. We found a few new people to teach. One man was named Tony. He has a small family we hope to go back and teach him again. Another one was named Adam. The kid was strange at first, but we invited him to read anyways. We stopped by later and he actually started reading and taking notes and we had a really good lesson with him. The moral of the story here…. Never judge a book by its cover. We taught Frank and Mary the rest of the plan of salvation as well and put them on date for January 12th. We had a really good lesson with them and we have been teaching them for the last few weeks.

The rest of the week we continued to teach lessons to our peeps! They were all pretty good. John and Penny, a couple we have been seeing for a while, are doing great. We are starting to get them into the Book of Mormon as well. He loves to talk and talk. He has travelled the world and loves to tell us about it. Cool guy. Interesting week towards the end. Elder Jensen became a Cheat River Elder this week, so we are now in a Tri-ship for the week. Transfers are this week and he will be leaving. I will be serving one more with Elder Jackson and I'm stoked. He is such a good guy and we get a long great. We can't really tract anymore with 3 of us Haha. People won’t answer because we look like the mafia now. We went back to the Amrines this week. He showed us more of his mite lab and let us look at bunch of them in the microscope. So stinking weird!!

Spiritual Thought: Alma 19:36 And thus the work of the Lord did commence among the Lamanites; thus the Lord did begin to pour out his Spirit upon them; and we see that his arm is extended to all people who will repent and believe on his name.
It is a great time of year to invite others unto Christ, but it's also a great time to recognize the lord in our life as well. See His arm extended toward us and feel of the Christmas spirit.
Funny moment of the week: Went to the famous Tailpipes restaurant this week and I had "The Challenger" burger. It has some crazy hot sauce and peppers on it. The picture will tell it all. FYI! Water doesn't help.
I don’t even like hot stuff!!

Love y'all so much! Have a good one and thanks for all the love and support!

Elder Brian
