Hello!! now I'm in a little town called Lobos with Hermana Martínez and I am just happy, enjoying, tranquila :)
The bike only took me a few days to get used to again, so we're doign well!!
we had a special meeting with Elder and Sister Bragg, and President and Sister Resek and it was just amazing. I felt so excited to just share the gospel with everyone. and not even just as missionary, but as a member of the church for all my life <3 so many people just need to know.
President Resek asked us to read Alma 17-18 and I wanted to share my thoughts!
-As they received more knowledge they became more mature and had a clearer mind. Anyone who understands and remembers God's plan will change in maturity. when he and his friends saw each other, they weren't worried about all the news or social things, but about their progress in the gospel. -They prayed and fasted! all the time! to be in line with God's will and receive His help and sacrifice for others! I've been thinking about doing a fast for a few weeks, so instead of waiting any longer, I just did one that day. and wow, Heavenly Father blesses. -THey left behind all their land, everything that could be theirs. and later Ammon says he's willing to stay in the city until he dies! suuper dedicated. lots of love.-I noticed they were excited and had positive attitudes. THe rest of the servants were crying because they were going to be killed and the Spirit helped him see the positive side of things! I noticed that when my companion and I are happy and looking for fun ways to do things and smiling and grateful, loving and enjoying, the work is so much better! we work more effectively, and we let others see the love we feel. it's fun!-also! instead of being mad at the other guys for being upset and not doing anything about it, he encouraged them! he wanted to help them not be sad and he wasn't upset that he had to do it by himself. I remember feeling that when my parents told us kids to do something and I was the only one who started working. I wish I could've handled it that way, but I always whined... haha. I love Ammon's example! I think I love it most, because instead of doing what he thinks would be good, he does what he knows Jesus Christ would do. He's a good leader, because he follows Christ's example. and I know we have to be thinking about our Savior everyday to be able to serve our Heavenly Father's children in the way He wants us to. Thank you for that assignment President, I look forward to studying more and putting in action more of the things he did.Hermana Martínez is just so good. She's a strong Sister, she works hard and she wants to do what's right and she does it. She's a trooper, when I suggest we try things a different way, she's willing and we work together well, she's teaching me a lot and I feel the love she has for me. She's so sweet and I'm so grateful and excited to get to know her better <3
