"When you come back we can talk more about my baptism.."

The smile that came to my face when our new investigator said that was so big! More about that in a second.
So I said goodbye to Hermana Wheatley and hello to Hermana Hunter in Ituzaingó! She is from somewhere around Buffalo, New York. She is one of the sweetest human beings and has the biggest cutest smile!
But Ituzaingó is closer to the city!! So we're walkin', we're walkin', we're walkin' walkin' walkin'! I like it though! Everything's close and there are always people outside to talk to! The members are awesome with helping people when they come to church! A recent convert, Cintia, acompanies us quite a bit and her testimony is so pure! it's nice!
Victoria will be getting baptized this Saturday! She has been investigating the church for 2 years now. She's practically a member and everybody knows her as a member, but she's been waiting for her boyfriend to be able to use his Priesthood and baptize her. sooo we haven't really taught her much lately. I think we've had 2 lessons in the last month or two. But she's ready! we're passing by again this week to see how we can help her even more.
This week, Hermana Mughal(a newer hermana who had Hermana Córdova as her trainer too!!) has been with us for some of the time, and it's been super fun to teach and adapt our teaching to one another and to the person. We found a new investigator named Noelia and she wants to be baptized! But I'm not sure if she understands the importance, because she wants her 1 year-old son to be baptized also.. haha. we'll work on that. There's an investigator who has already attended church a lot, but she's struggling with her beliefs. Her parents raised her in the church, but became inactive when she turned 7. She has really fond memories, but then she learned other things and says it's all mixed up and she wants to figure out what's the truth. We invited her to fast this weekend with us and we promised she would receive her answers and that everything would be clear. I love to see the look on peoples' faces when we promise them the things they need. but it makes it kind of hard when they still don't do the things they need to do.
We were fasting Saturday night, and all of our appointments weren't home, or couldn't talk with us for some reason. I asked Hermana Hunter how she was feeling and she said "un poco triste"(a little sad). Then 2 houses later we decided to stop and knock because we heard voices behind the fence. Nacareno came out and we shared a little about the Book of Mormon and how we have a living prophet today. We offered to give him the book and come back the next day to share more with his family. He said, "en serio?"(seriously) and was super excited!
I'm doing well! itching to meet and teach new people! Before I got here, they started teaching quite a few people but we haven't been able to find them again :/ We passed by to check up on an investigator they had stopped teaching for a while. She mentioned how these days were hard because it's been 2 months since her daughter died. She wanted to see a glimpse of where her daughter was, so I read Alma 40:11-12 to her.
" 11 Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life.
12 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow."
That is one of the reasons I came on my mission: so others don't have to feel so much pain, they can know that there is a plan and they will see their loved ones. I have a strong testimony that our loved ones and those who have left this life on earth, are waiting in this place of peace and joy. Please take the opportunity to share this special message with someone this week. In this way, the gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much comfort and healing.
I love you all so much! Be good and remember who you're trying to be like!Sigan Seguiendo! :)Hermana Hull
