MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM LUJAN!
It is so strange to me that it's soooo hot and humid, but it's Christmastime. my mind still can't wrap around that fact.
Today we did our fun Preparation Day stuff first and we toured the Basilica of Lujan! It is incredible. I don't know much about it... but it's big and beautiful and everybody here is very proud of it. and they have reason, it's very very pretty! and there was a neat art museum outside and I found it very interesting... haha
This week we have had the privilege of working with a lot of the members here in Lujan! They are INCREDIBLE! it's amazing how the gospel brings people together. It's been even more awesome because they've felt comfortable enough to let us pass by for a few of their friends or families. They feel the immense joy this gospel brings and are recognizing their friends who are ready to receive this joy in their lives. alsooo the Bishop reminds me of Brother Jim Brown!! I'll have to get a picture!
Especially with this Christmas season, I am reminded of the joy that comes from this gospel. "Adam fell, that men might be. and men are that they might have joy"(2 Nephi 2:25) I know that this life is FILLED with things that are frustrating, stressful, saddening. I can feel Satan pulling at me. But the purpose of this life is to find joy in this life and in the life to come. I am so grateful to know of the Plan of Salvation. Because I know that I can live with my Heavenly Father and all my family again, in an eternal state of happiness, I can keep going forward everyday with excitement and positivity.
I love you all and I hope you feel this joy and happiness with your families this Christmas! I am stoked! to see my family and to spend the week helping other families feel this love too.
