That phrase is at the top of a map in our room, and I've been thinking about it a lot this week. I decided I was going to take some time and pray specifically for miracles.
So, we had less than an hour Monday night before we had to travel to a meeting. The lesson we had planned with one Sister, fell through because wasn't home, so we went to visit a few others just randomly, We met with Hermana Alejandra, and she told us that she was losing hope, that she doesn't know if God is helping her and she was praying everyday. We didn't have a specific scripture to share, so I just started bearing my testimony about how I God's help in my life. My companion flipped open the Book of Mormon and found that perfect scripture to share. I believe it was Mosiah 18... I'm not sure anymore. But it was perfect. and when we left, Alejandra had a smile on her face :)
I know that Heavenly Father put us there at that time so that we could help his daughter, Alejandra, see His love for her. I love being a missionary.
We have had a few lunches with members who are all so nice <3 and I went to write out "Thank You" cards for them, until I realized they all say "thank you" in English....... hahaha so I had to get creative and teach let them know that it means "Gracias" haha hopefully they can use that bit of English one day!
I know that with the help of Heavenly Father, miracles can happen. Miracles will happen.
Another miracle: there was a lady who my companion met when her other companion was here, and she was very angry when they met her. We'd gone by a few times to see how she was but finally got a minute to sit and talk with her. She was very calm, very humble and willing to listen. She expressed her regrets for being so angry a few weeks ago and expressed her desires to give her all to the Lord. She was very angry with God, but she soon realized that she wanted to change her heart. She didn't want to be angry. She is preparing to be baptized on the 22 of October and we're hoping that she will continue to make these changes so that Heavenly Father can continue to bless her.
I have seen miracles this week, which is kind of a miracle by itself. I've heard nothing but doubts about this area, Chivilcoy. There aren't many members, they don't live close to us(to help us), and there are all kinds of people. I have seen Heavenly Father preparing and helping His children come closer to Him. it's so beautiful.
Also family activities, like family home evening, are so important. The home should be a safe place, a place where the children can learn about the Gospel and ask questions and be excited to be there with their family. I am so grateful for my family and their love and support!
These are some of the things I learned this week. I love you all very much and hope you have a good week!
pictures:-there are dogs EVERYWHERE. this is in a bus station building... some of them are cute like this but others are crazy..-these are all the missionaries in my Zone!-A SUPER CUTE NOTE from the daughters of a less active sister!
