Elder Huebsch

I noticed in my journal that is very much empty of recent experiences here in the mission. I have made the commitment to write more in my journal about all these experiences in the mission that I am having. I have been just remembering the stuff that happens P days when I am writing these letters and hoping that they come to my mind, but sometime, I dont have the memory to do it! I am already doing better, I have a couple of things that have happened this week that were pretty cool.

Overall the week was pretty good. I am getting used to working in my new area very well, and we have found a lot of new people to teach (though, not too many of them are there when we come back...) But that is ok! I am finding that I am overocming little fears that I have, learning to be more direct with people. especially in being able to ask people the right questions at the right time. we were talking with a less active hermano and his wife that have the goal to go to the temple by the end of december. The hermano has doubts, he didnt want to go to the temple, and as we taught him and his wife, the spirit tesified so strongly to all of us in the room of the blessing of the temple. It was obvious the hermano was moved by the spirit. After that, instead of putting excuses, the hermano looked for solutions! he then wanted to change and work and recieve the blessings of the temple. So, we will be working with this family a lot in order to get them to the temple soon.

We had some guys come into our pension in order to put down a spray for bugs. We had a bit of an ant problem before, but as soon as they put the spray down, thousands of dead ants appeared in our appartment! we have had fun gathering them all in a giant pile of dead ants, cockroaches too! (not tiny little ones, but rather as big as your thumb!) the joyss of living in aargentina, no?

Last saturday was the worldwide day of service and we went to help paint a hospital. We worked nearly the entire morning into the afternoon, all the missionaries in cordoba capital and about 250 members, to clean, paint, and make look pretty a public hospital in the city center. It was a lot of work, but it was pretty fun in the end, adn we got free lunch!

So those are a couple of things that happened over the past week here in the mission. Not much else happened, but im sure next week, with general conference, there will be plenty of good things happening.

Love ya all! enjoy conference!
