Candelaria de La Frontera

Elder Anderson

Week 33

Hola Familia,
This week has been pretty awesome because we've found so many new, positive people to teach that we are so excited for. We had the baptismal interview of Yanira and she passed with flying colors. She has changed so much since we first met her and she has made so many changes without even meaning to sometimes. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is real and everyone needs it and everyone can use it. Elder Anderson and I are continuing to improve our obedience and we are still seeing so many blessings and miracles as we have strengthened ourselves to overcome our shortcomings. Walking around with Elder Anderson is really fun because all the people are like wow look at the gringo's hair! It's so pretty! I want hair like that! All the little kids make comments about it which is really funny. I on the other hand get comments like hey ugly gringo look over here! Give me candy... XD The mission is awesome guys and I wouldn't trade it for anything. We're trying to fix our ward here in Candelaria because there are a ton of problems like gossiping, not visiting, not magnifying their calling, etc. We know that if we can get our ward up and running again we're going to have a lot more success and a better environment for our converts. Right now the only people that go to church are the ones with the strong testimonies and the ones with weak or new testimonies struggle to come to church because they don't feel welcomed and nobody visits them. This is our biggest project right now but if you know somebody that is less active or struggling, don't hesitate to go visit them even if you haven't been assigned to.
This week I bring photos for all the arachnafobics and people who don't like bugs... 😈
