Week 103 - Bask In It
Hey Everybody!
I hope that you all had a great week! Sorry once again that this email is so behind, but there has been so much that we have had to get done and not enough hours in the day to do them! A lot of that has been because of all the conferences the past couple of weeks and days.
This past week we had the remainder of our zone conferences that took place on Tuesday and Thursday. Both were great meetings, but the one on Tuesday was exceptionally amazing. Something that we had planned this go-around was we had a recent convert from that part of the mission come and share their conversion story and experience with the missionaries. That was what made the meeting on Tuesday so amazing. We had a man named Parry come and share his story with me and wow! The Spirit was there for sure! One thing that President Beck always says is that he just loves to bask in the Spirit. And now the longer I have been on my mission, the more I realize that I agree completely with that! It's the best.
We spent some time this past week preparing for MLC, which happened on Tuesday.
There was this lady who was a member who had not been active in the church for a very long time that we were working with back in April and May-ish. Well she had moved down to Florida for a while, but just recently she has moved back to Manchester. She is a very loud woman and she is great! Well she had gotten kinda mad at us for not stopping by since she has been back in town, so on Friday we caught up with her. Literally we caught up with her because she asked us to walk all the way across town with her and her daughters. For a while I was thinking it was pretty pointless and we should turn back, but something was telling us to go with it. Well we are now trying to work with her daughters again who aren't baptized, but the real miracle that we saw was when we were walking the couple of miles back to our truck. We met this lady who was having a really hard time and just lost her two kids. Heavenly Father knew. There are so many experiences like these that are just awesome. I love being a missionary for the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today.
