Hey Everybody!!
I hope that you all have had a wonderful week and a great Mother's Day! I know it feels like you just read my last email, and I swear I just wrote it too, but some awesome miracles have happened since a couple days ago! We finished up with transfer week with picking up new misisonaries, switching all the companions that are still in the mission, and sending the departing missionaries off. Each one of those has its own ups and downs, but it is all a good time!
So because my new companion has already served here before it has been cool to be able to get back in contact with a lot of people that we have been trying to see recently that he knows a little bit better! We have also found a couple really solid people. One of those is Ahok and her family. She is the cousin of one of our recent converts. She has 6 kids and thinks it would be nice to have 10! She is from Sudan and so we had only talked to her once before and she said she wanted a copy of the Book of Mormon in Arabic. So we dropped it off to her and we had such an awesome visit. And it ended with her 8 year old son saying the prayer! Then she brought four of her kids and herself to church yesterday! I will send a pic of me with them.
Then we also met this lady named Leiann. I won't go too in depth with her, but we talked to her while she was on the balcony of her apartment that was on the 2nd story and we were on the ground. Turns out she is one of the waitresses that we have tried to talk to at a restaurant (that will remain nameless) and she is way cool with two awesome kids! The daughter who is like 9 is like way way smart too!
Last, but not least, Jessica passed her baptismal interview yesterday! So we are on for a baptism in about two more weeks! I am way excited about that!
Happy Mothers Day to all of you mothers out there. In my opinion it should be Mothers day every day. Mainly becasue I don't need a special occasion to tell my mom I love her! But it is truly amazing what mothers do, exceptionally in pointing their children towards Christ. Thank you mom!
