Week 83 - Easter Sunday Slam!

Hey Everybody!

I hope that you all had a great Easter and Holy Week! I had pretty solid week this week. We had our Follow-Up Training meeting this Tuesday for all new missionaries and their trainers, so we did everything that goes with that, which includes having a ton of missionaries at our apartment, driving up early, setting up, and everything else. It was pretty cool though, after the meeting we were like the last ones out and there was this dude parked in the parking lot of the Chapel (and this is in S. Royalton, Vermont) and we got to talking with him, and he had never been to church there before, but loves the monument. He was going to try to attend this week! On Friday we did this thing called “Walk With Christ”. All of us missionaries worked with the members in our area and organized the church to tell Christ’s life including birth, baptism, miracles and ending with His death and resurrection. It was a lot of work, but turned out to be a really good event.

We were able to see a couple of awesome miracles this week! The biggest one is with this family of Rita, her daughter Jessica, and her two children Xavier and Nicole. So there is three generations there and Rita is struggling with some health issues pretty badly. Rita had requested a Bible online a couple of weeks ago, and we were able to get her one. But they fizzled off after a couple visits, until this week. We and the referral sisters were able to get back in contact with and they are beyond excited to learn about the gospel! We were able to teach them a handful of times this week and now they are on date for a baptism in May! Nicole is not old enough, but the rest of them will be getting baptized! It was tricky finding them a ride to church with a wheelchair, but it all worked out and they loved church! They are great!

Oh and for church this week we had a great day! I love the Manchester ward, and one of the reason is because it is mostly full of recent converts and reactivated people! And this week we had so many people there, like everybody! It is so touching to see people that are new to church, haven't been to church for a long time, or are coming for the first time! I love my Savior and I love his church.

I love you all and I hope you have a great week!!!
