Hey Everybody!!
I hope that you all had a wonderful week as we get into February! This week was full of driving! All-in-all I probably drove about 1000 miles. But that is necessary sometimes when you live in Vermont! What took up our miles and time was: MLC in Manchester, Zone Leadership Counicl in Monpilier, District Council in Lyndon, to a remote house for service, and then exchanges in Newport VT up by Canada! So lots of fun and driving!
Well that was most of my week in a nutshell! For service we were able to do two different projects stacking wood. One was with our district and one was with another district in the zone. It was really fun to be able to toss some wood around, have a good time, and help some people in need at the same time!
It was pretty darn cold for a lot of the week though, and even while throwing wood you still get cold! Also, on Sunday it was ice raining, so the roads got super slippery. We had to drive the sisters somewhere to a meal appointment on that day and on the way out to the island and back we saw like 7 cars that slid off the road. The tow trucks were busy! One of those were on an off-ramp where we were getting off. It was just a lady that had slid up onto a snow bank, but didn't look like she wrecked anything on her car. Just couldn't move. We had to decide in an instant if we were going to try and help her. We decided we wanted to, but didn't want to just stop in the middle of the off-ramp, so I drove up a bit and pulled off onto a side rode. After jumping out and each of us almost falling like 12 times, we made it back to her car. After two big pushes she had gotten out and we had left. It was just a pretty cool small anonymous act of service!
As far as teaching went this week, we were able to find and teach the Abedi family, as well as help the Ravelin family progress towards their baptismal date! I love being a missionary!
I hope that you all have a fantastic week! I love you all!
