Week 63 - Turkey Day!

Hey Everyone!

I hope that you all had a great week this week! So this week was pretty crazy because I guess you could say that I gave some transfers to some Elders and myself. It was pretty crazy and it has definitely been a learning experience for me! So the new Elders who moved into our ward and our apartment were originally going to take the east side of the area and we were gin got take the west side. We have been rolling with that for the past week, but it was kinda just my choice and I didn't put much prayer into my thought. Was I surely mistaken. I began to pray about it and try to receive revelation, and I began to receive answers to my prayers. My testimony has definitely strengthened on the eternal truth that we can receive revelation for those or for what we have authority over. I know that is true, and I have seen it in my life. Each of you can do the same thing in receiving revelation for your family, callings, and personally. The Lord is so willing to give out his secrets to those who are willing.

So that was interesting this week and I am back to proselyting in the area where I have been serving for the last many months (well I guess the other one was too, but just after a week break)! Happy Thanksgiving this past week! For Thanksgiving this year we were going to have the ward vs. ward turkey bowl that I told you about last week. But, the weather was sub zero with a wind chill Thursday morning, so our ward decided to play some basketball at the church instead. And you all know I wasn't mad at all about that! Then later in the day we had a good fun visit with Dominic and Loretta, our Recent Converts. We had our first meal at our Ward Mission Leader's house. He is from Capo Verde and his wife is from Brazil, so we had a little Brazilian twist on a Thanksgiving dinner. It was fantastic! Then we headed right to another meal, which ended up not even being a meal. All of her kids had eaten the food before we got there, but it was all good because we were way full!

Some other awesome things this week were that somebody who I taught right when I got into this area, but we dropped after my first little bit here, came to church this week and is coming back stronger than ever! Perks to being in an area for a long time! Also Matt passed his baptismal interview, so he is on track!

I hope that you all have a great week! Love you all! Keep seeing miracles!
