Hello Everyone!
This week was kind of crazy! There weren't too many days this week that were "normal" haha. The first not so normal thing this week was our exhanges. They started on Tuesday morning and then lasted until.... well there wasn't ever really a closing date because of how crazy the week was! I was on exchanges with Elder Taylor. He is from Mesa, Arizona and he is currently serving in Sanford, ME. Nothing too super exciting happened while on exchanges, but we had interviews with President Blair on Wednesday night. Interviews with President are always super awesome. I am so glad that he is my mission president! The interviews were held in Sanford and after interviews, the Sanford elders (Which were currently My companion and one of the Sanford Elders) came and stayed in our apartment because we had Zone Conference the next day in Exeter. Okay so I just realized that you guys probably don't think that any of this was crazy or exciting at all... probably because you don't know the area... so trust me! It was pretty crazy!
Anyways! This week we started teaching a kid named Riley and his Dad, Chris. Chris is a convert of 7 years, but has kinda been in and out of the Church since then. I don't know how much I can say, but pretty much Riley hasn't been living with Chris for a while and now he finally is! Riley is about to turn 11 years old and wants to be baptized. So we have started to teach him and reactivating Chris. It is a tricky situation because we got to make sure that Chris is just as much into it as Riley is because for the next 8-10 years, Chris is going to have to be the one to be taking Riley to church and stuff. But we had a lesson with them and it has gone really well! Riley has accepted a baptismal date, and Chris is working on coming back and getting a temple recommend!!! I am super excited for them and I love the way the gospel can light up people's lives!
Another super cool miracle this week was a guy named John Smith (Yeah crazy name, right?!). So John, We met John about 5 weeks ago. It was Elder Bowman's very first day in the area when we met him. He wasn't too interested, but we gave him a Plan of Salvation pamphlet and that was that. But recently we haven't heard from him, so we decided to Facebook message him the other day. He responded and asked if we had a Bible for him to keep forever and we said of course we do! So we took them over to him and set up a time to teach him the next day. He said that he really wants to come to church and learn more so that is super exciting!
So at Zone Conference we talked a lot about our goals this year as a mission, 300 baptisms, and how we will achieve them from miracles. On top of that I had just happened to be memorizing a scripture in 2 Nephi that went right along with that! 2 Nephi 27:23 says "For behold, I am God and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith" I know that God will be able to preform miracles in missionary work, but I also can Testify just as clearly that he can preform miracles in your life to! You just need to have the unshakeable faith! I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

Picture 1: We had the opportunity to do some service this week for a LA member. The service included getting on top of the roof and pushing ice chunks off! The roof wasn't slippery at all, but the sidewalk was and I may or may not have slipped...
Picture 2: In the LA member yard there was this cool green thing that we found haha
Picture 3: Because of the cold weather recently, there is nobody on the streets to talk to so a really good way to talk to people is to go into stores and talk to them. So this pic is in one of the stores we were at!
