For those of you that don't know what a Bombogenisis is I will insert the definition here: Some sort of really big storm that has a lot of wind and snow and is a costal storm that has the potential to get really big really fast (hence the name "bomb"). That is just the definition that I have heard bits and pieces here and there, but I'm sure if you look it up online then there will be a better definition haha. So if the definition is way off then let me know haha.
Mostly all I know was that it was a really big storm and we had to stay in all of Thursday for it! So we got a text Thursday morning that told us that we were grounded for 24 hours, effective at noon. So we had to go and get bottled water, gas, and some food before noon and then be inside for the rest of the day. This has been the first time that I have ever seen gas stations be out of gas! We tried to fill up our car the night before and all of the gas stations were closed at like 8 o'clock! So that was pretty crazy, but we got some good planning done and we contacted a bunch of people over the phone on Thursday. I am not sure how much snow we got (Once again, you could probably just Google search it if you wanted to know haha) but I heard that we got anywhere from 1-2 feet ish. The real crazy part of it was the wind though. It was super windy! I have been in some pretty bad wind before, but this was over the top!
I am not sure if I have told you about Sue yet, but I probably have. I will just give a little synopsis of her. She has been investigating for about a year now. The reason she can't get baptized is because of her living with a male roommate. She wants to move out, but she can't because she has no income. So that is Sue in a nutshell, but there is so much more and she is very complicated haha. Anyways we had a miracle with her this week! We stopped by our apartment really fast before we headed out to another appointment and then all of the sudden our landlord knocked on our door. He said that the dentist office across the street was looking for a new person to clean there. He knew that we talked to a lot of people and maybe we knew somebody who needed a job. At first we didn't realize it, but then we both thought "Sue!!". So we drove over to her house real fast and told her. Now all she has to do is capitalize on this situation!!!
I will tell you guys about one more person, but I don't want to make the email too long haha. So on Tuesday we were out walking around (Very Cold) and people were already out trying to prepare for the storm in a couple days. We walked by these two people trying to fill their house with diesel fuel to heat the bottom half of their house. They had just bought a new gas can and they could not get it to open up. So we volunteered to help them and while Elder Bowman was filling up their house we taught them the Restoration and gave them both copies of the Book of Mormon! We left after that, but the story doesn't end there. The next day we texted him, Darian, and asked if they were able to get warm. He said that he had as well as he had started the Book of Mormon! He said that he has been studying Astrology and spirituality and stuff like that for years and the more he researches it, the more he believes that Joseph Smith is a prophet called of God! So that is way cool and we hope to start teaching him and his girlfriend/sister/wife (We are not sure) soon!
I love you all and I hope that you have a great week!

Picture is of Swain Lake. It is on the bottom part of our area in a town called Barrington. A couple less active members live out there and one of them actually lives on a sort of island in it. While driving into the island the wind was blowing so hard like a wind tunnel!
