Week 14 - Let it Snow!

Hey Everybody!

It snowed!!! On Saturday we got our first real snow of the season and tomorrow we are supposed to get a lot more. That has been super exciting and the best part is that snow means that we get to shovel it. And more importantly we get to shovel it for other people! Service is the best! That is one thing that I have absolutely loved on my mission so far is how much we are able to serve others. Whether it is someone on the side of the road who is attempting to change their tire but they can't, so you and your companion go and lift up her car so she can put the jack under. Or whether it be driving a while to get to a less active member's house to shovel her snow and then finding out that most of it was already done! Service is the best no matter what you do or how you do it!

One of the more exciting things that happened this week was the Christmas conference we had. On Thursday we had to wake up and get right on the road and head to Yarmouth, Maine, where the conference was being held. The conference was with all of the mission presidency and half of all the missionaries in the entire mission. At the Christmas conference we had a bunch of special musical numbers, testimonies, Christmas stories, and a bunch of other cool Christmas stuff! The theme of the conference was "Believe". It was a really fun time and let's just say this, Sister Blair (My mission president's wife) LOVES Christmas. After the conference portion we had a really good lunch, and then we all sat surrounding a piano in the cultural hall and sang Christmas carols! That was a blast! Right before we left, President and Sister Blair gave us a Christmas bag and then we headed back to our areas.

Yesterday the whole district, some of the youth in our ward, as well as one of the sister's investigators came down to the Somersworth Chapel and we all went caroling! It went really well this time! I say this time because last time that just Elder Broekhuijsen and I went caroling it wasn't received as well…haha. But this time was super awesome!

I hope that all of you have a fantastic week and keep Lighting the World!!!

Love,

Elder Brown
