Week 12 - Thanksgiving!

Hello everybody!

I hope that you all had a fantastic week and Thanksgiving! I had a good Thanksgiving, but I guess I'll start with the first part of the week. On Monday for P-Day we had a Zone P-Day. So we traveled down to Exeter (about 40 minute drive, WITHOUT construction) and we played games in the cultural hall for most of P-Day. Then, instead of heading back to our area, we got to go and work in another area for the night. That is why if you saw my Facebook Live on Monday we had two other missionaries. We got to stay with them for the night and then we had a Zone meeting the next morning. As far as I know there aren't usually zone meetings with President Blair, so I guess this one was special! That meeting was really cool and we talked a lot about #Lighttheworld!

Right after that meeting, we went on exchanges with the Elders in Sanford, ME. I was with Elder Solomon for the next two nights. He is from Snowflake, AZ. While with Elder Solomon, we walked a lot. It was also raining and cold, which made walking a lot even funner! We walked a whole ton and talked to a bunch of people, but not a lot were interested in talking back to us. We did have some really funny/crazy things happen though!

So we were walking down a kind of neighborhood street and we walk past this lady going into her house. Being missionaries, we of course said hi to her and tried to start a conversation. She is probably about 70 with crazy hair and a mean look on her face. She turn around to us and yells "Go back to your Church!!! Ugbhualhghah!!!" We were kind of shocked but once we walked away we were laughing super hard! But the story doesn't end there... We walked a couple blocks down and found Dawn on her porch smoking. We talked with her and gave her a Book of Mormon and are going to go back and teach her! Then we walked back past the crazy lady's house again like an hour later and through her window we see her running through her house. She runs out and yells "Go back to your Church!!! Ualguawgehla!" and then some other not very nice things, but we just kept going on our way! So moral of the story, we have to talk with everybody, because you don't know who will yell at you or take a Book of Mormon!

Besides that this week, we ate Thanksgiving dinner at a member's house. If any of you guys don't know about #Lighttheworld then I challenge you to go and look it up right now!!! Please participate in this Christmas initiative! It is a super great way to serve others! I love you all!
