Happy Late Easter!
What a week. This week felt a lot slower than all the other weeks. Not much happened, no crazy stories, we just kind of starved until Sunday because all of our food appointments fell through and we had no money because of traveling to Obregón and bike problems, but we just went shopping before coming to the computer café place so it is all good. We did eat a little with one family so it wasn´t all that bad, but these are the times I wish I wasn´t so big, I never realized how much I really eat.
The first picture of food is a Chalupa, we ate that on Tuesday when we typically don't have a meal planned anyway. It was really late at night so we had to eat fast. I ate two before my companion ate 3/4 of his first. They are a little bigger than two of my hands put side by side.
The other picture with food is of us having a guy's night in with José and his father Miguel. The rest of the fam was an hour away visiting other people. We had a little snack of tortillas with cheese and bologna. José and Miguel are the two in the picture working on the kitchen walls. We helped them knock down the old wall, it is about time they let us help them with something, they have helped us out so much, we can't pick favorites, but...
I think if my mom saw how many tortillas I have eaten since I have been here, she would have a heart attack. She would also be in shock if she saw the little teacup chihuahua I got to hold while visiting a member who comes every few months from San Diego for some odd reason. The picture makes it look bigger than it really is and all it does is shake, run into walls, and choke itself on the metal gate it is kept in.
Today after we got ready to leave to buy groceries and email, I looked at E Haymond, he looked at me, and we both realized that we matched perfectly! So like the cheesy young men we are, we took a photo in front of the garage door at home.
We traveled to Paredoncito this week, taught a couple people, then were blasted by dirt and sand for 45 minutes waiting for the bus, my shirt collar suffered bad.
If you want to help out the missionaries, all you have to do is ask them what you can do as members. I never realized how happy the missionaries were when I went with them to appointments, it truly makes their day. So if you have time on your hands and nothing to do, call the missionaries.
General Conference was great, I hope you all enjoyed the Easter Sunday and all the sessions. Let me know what you all think of the changes they are making. I know my old companion E White is excited for the Temple they announced in Richmond, Virginia. I watched it in Spanish and had no idea what was going on, but my companion filled me in. With a lot of thinking and trials this week I have learned a lot.
Baulilio and Ana Maria didn't attend so they are moved back to April 14th for their baptism. I am learning much about myself mentally and spiritually. E Haymond made a comment about how it would be cool to have a chart of attributes of our spirituality and all this other stuff before our missions and what it would look like now.
Study the talks from General Conference, listening once is not enough, we only get to hear from the Prophet once every 6 months, take advantage of it! I hope you all have successful weeks, I love you all!
¡Dios nos ama!
