HIGHLIGHTS
What a time to be a missionary! I'm super grateful to still have technology to share the gospel while stuck inside for a while. With everything going on I haven't been the greatest keeping up to date with these emails. We are currently are only aloud to work and teach from home, but we aren't officially quarantined yet! This week was like no other on the mission so far. We spent the first half of the week like normal out and about. On Wednesday Natasha was in town with family for the night before flying back home to study online from BYUI. I managed to get permission to see her for a while. She came out and helped us visit a few people and I was introduce her to Diane and her kids! Was a special experience. Friday we got the news about only working with technology. Time to get creative. I have faith that as missionaries we can come out of this stronger in the end if we take advantage of this time of more isolation to practice, study, and improve. It was nice to have a chance to teach a few recent converts over messenger from Rio. The work goes on!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
Alma 32: 9-12 Relates Mind Blowingly good to the current situation in the church!
9 Behold thy brother hath said, What shall we do?—for we are cast out of our synagogues, that we cannot worship our God.10 Behold I say unto you, do ye suppose that ye cannot worship God save it be in your synagogues only?11 And moreover, I would ask, do ye suppose that ye must not worship God only once in a week?12 I say unto you, it is well that ye are cast out of your synagogues, that ye may be humble, and that ye may learn wisdom; for it is necessary that ye should learn wisdom; for it is because that ye are cast out, that ye are despised of your brethren because of your exceeding poverty, that ye are brought to a lowliness of heart; for ye are necessarily brought to be humble.
