Winter has officially arrived! This week was crazy good and cold too! It has been in the low teens most this week, and it snowed 3 days of the week. That made proselytizing without a car fun, and slick haha. We still managed to be quite productive luckily :)Elder veae and I saw some kids sledding, and we decided to jump in with them a few times! Thanksgiving was excellent. I had the chance to eat with some of my family (aunts, uncles, cousins, from the Woodland side) whom I hadn't seen in about a year and a half. Thank goodness for the new rule change or I wouldn't have been able to do that. We left a nice spiritual message with then before we headed out. They deep fried the Turkey! I'de never tried it until then, and it was sooo good. Thanks uncle Rod! Friday was great. A man named Sebastian moved in to our area this past week, and he has been taught in the past by other missionaries. President Southward apparently knew him as well. So he tagged along in a lesson with us. Sebastian was at church yesterday too! Cool guy. Then that night we, and another district of missionaries, walked in the Pocatello Christmas parade. We held candles and helped light the world! It was fun because a lot of people know the missionaries around here. We have been sharing tons of light the world messages as christmas is coming up. I've been liking it a lot. I really enjoy the new christ child video.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
For the Christmas season coming up
16 ¶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
This verse is known commonly throughout the Christian world! I'm grateful for christs willingness to come here and teach us how to be better better. To teach us the way really. I'm grateful that even knowing 100% what he was getting into, he put me (and you) before himself. Following his example is the least we can do. Hope you all have a great week!
