WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS
Well this was a pretty good week. We haven't had too much success finding new people to be honest. We are trying but at the moment we are really just helping out some less active members and doing a bunch of service. Which I don't mind. It's missionary work either way. Halloween was cool. We weren't allowed to be out past 6 pm so all the missionaries near by went to the institute and we had our own little party. We just hung out and played basketball. Elder Vaea is doing better now that he is off crutches. He's still a bit sore but manages to walk without them. Saturday we had two service projects! We got to help take down a GIANT corn maze at a farm. With 16 missionaries it took us 5 hours or so, and 10,000 wooden stakes later. It was nice to be in my natural Indiana habitat again haha. Then later that day we headed down to ISU to help put all the annual Ski Swap materials down. We loaded thousands of skis, snowboards, and boots onto trucks. There were a lot of helping hands so It went smooth.
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT
This week I just want to touch a bit on how much I really love fast sunday. Yesterdays fast and testimony meeting(s) were both very spiritual. We went to the Riverside and Raymond park wards yesterday. I know we always here that you can't base your testimony off of someone els. I know that's definitely true. But I always feel inspired and spiritually strengthened when I hear others ber their strong simple testimonies. As missionaries it is nice to here those with whom you serve express their love for their savior and the gospel once a month. I love when we as a ward can "rejoice in truth." It's always spiritually uplifting.
