Porque Não? (WEEK 7)
Good afternoon friends and fam! This week I further studied the importance of the BOM. My goal was to have sufficiente knowledge of the BOM to respond to many peoples questions about it here. Like, for example,"Why do I need the BOM?" , or, "Why is the BOM the word of god?" I was reading in Helaman 16:18 which says "That is is not reasonable that such a being as a chirst shall come; if so, and he being the son of god, the father in heaven and of the eartyh, as it has been spoken. Why will he not show himself unto us as well as unto them who shaoll be at Jerusalem?" This testifies to me that Jesus loves and is the savior of all the world. Of all people. Not just people in Jerusalem or in select places around the world. He is YOUR savior. This is an awesome scripture for here in Brazil as I can testify christ walked in the Americas probably not far from here. I have gotten to share this with people this week.
This week was the best yet. We ended up with 2 dates for baptism this upcoming sunday (18th of Nov). One of them is named Alexandre, he has 41 years and lives alone. He is very kind and we have been teaching him for 2 weeks. The other is Marcos, and we taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ during our first contact with him on friday, then invited him to be baptized. He accepted! Both of them ettended church this sunday too, wich is a prerequiset for baptism. We fasted for them to attened church and to continue to have faith on friday, and they were there. It was a week of many small milagres! We are working harder and more efficient then aever now. Its begining to get hotter and hotter every day. Im loving the sun! My comp on the other hand, not so much haha. P-day was good, we played soccer with 8 other elders in our district and some members. All is well here in Rio. Please pray for our investigators.
