WEEK 6
Bom dia todo o mundo! I hope everyone is well. This week my testimony of the bom grew a lot. I studied a bunch about how to better teach it, and the history of it. One thing that I really love is how the bom isnt just another "bible."The bom is its own, seperate scirpture of Jesus. It is titled The Book of Mormon. The lessons which it contains can change peoples lives. I love how in Ezeqiel 37: 15-17 directly prophesies about the Book of Mormon. It says "E outro vez veio a mom a palavra- u, pois. ó filho do homem, toma um padaço de madiera, e escreve nele;Por Judá e pelos filhos de Israel. , seus companheiros. E toma outro pedaço de madeira, e escreve nele: Por José, vara de efriam, e por toda a casa da israel, seus companheiros.- E Ajunta um ao outro, para que se unam, e se unam, e se tornem uma só vara na tua mão. How cool is that! It´s a real testimony builder to me that the bible, another set of ancient scripture from another part of the world, testifies about the book of Mormon. This is what I focused on this week. I love sharing with people every day that we have another testament of Jesus Christ with more information than they could imagine.
This week was excellent. Monday we (Elder Wade and I) Picked up our new companions at the train station around 1pm. We brought them back to the casa and made lunch for them and had everything cleaned up really nicely. They were impressed with the house and the area too. Elder Chipman, my new comp, was in a very difficult area for 6 months, here the people are a bit more accepting. This week we finally made a division between the two companionship's and E. Chipman and }I basically have a new area. We are starting over again basically. New area, new investigators. I'm excited. Elder Chipam is a Brazilian beast. We work and teach well together. I feel bad because the newer area has a bunch of hills and his back hurts most of the day. Hills aren't helping him. We had to get him some meds this week for his back. Sunday was stake conference. It was a cool experience to see most of the members in the RJ area in one meeting house. Tuesday we met our new district. Elder Chipman is the new district leader. Our new district is 12 elders, or 6 companionships. Very large. They are all great. Solid week. Até mais!
