YO THE MOSTY SPIRITUAL LESSON OF OUR LIVES
GENTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So this week we had zone conference. We talked about planning which is
the most important thing to our mission president.
Anyways we have an investigator (Carol) that always goes to church
but she doesnt feel ready to get baptized. She has already done everything,
stopped drinking coffee, left her boyfriend, and EVERY SUNDAY goes to
church. In my personal studies I just have been reading the book of mormon
because Russel M. Nelson implored everyone in the last conference to read
the Book of Mormon and promissed that the heavens would open to us giving
us revalation. Anyways i was reading Alma 7, a chapter ive read like 1000
times but i noticed something I had never noticed before. The people that
alma were teaching appeared just like Carol. Alma does the baptismal invite
then shows the people how ready they are and how they need to be baptized.
We decided we woud read Alma 7 with Carol and teach her. We
practiced for one hour in the church. We practiced and we were ready for
whatever doubt or question she would have. We practiced for her to say
"no." three times and the own chapter would respond to her doubts. We got
to her house and went at it. Everything that we roll played had happened.
We were answering right to all of her doubts. IT WAS CRAZY. Right when i
finished talking Elder Lubrano said everything perfect then when he
finished talking i said everthing perfect. The spirit was there guiding us
in each step. At the end we decided to read Alma 34:32 and told her that
"THIS IS THE TIME OF YOUR SALVATION". Then we said "Carol tomorrow will be
your baptism, you are ready." She laughed then looked at us and said, "i
should have done this a long time ago, lets do this." SDGASDFGHWE!!!
Carol was baptized Friday

Also we baptized Katleen a fourteen year old that always goes to church
with her 17 year old recent convert sister.
Also it was my birthday! We ate coconut cake and it was really good! We had
a family home evening and they sang happy birthday to me. Man Brazilians
are the best.
I´d like to bear my testimony about the Book of Mormon. When we read
and study the Book of Mormon everyday, we will see miracles.
