Well this week was sick as heck;. We had exchanges with Nonoai, so i
stayed with Elder Tellez, from Texas, in my area and Elder Watson went to
Nonoai. Turned out that we had tons of miracles. Knocking on doors we found
a family awesome. We were in the straight ghetto when i felt the need to
talk to a lady seating in a chair. I gave her a pass along card and we
started talking and ended up that she was a less active. She was with a
friend that is a mom of seven. We started teaching them and the spirit was
sweet. Eventually their hearts were touched and all 8 came to church. Like
a wise man once told me, "listen to the spirit and act fast as he speaks to
you. If you act you´ll be safe. If you hesitate, you´ll have
dissapointment." Think about that one dad.
Flavia´s family is doing awesome. She is walking to church carrying
her baby and two little girls. That´s faith. We will prepare her to be
baptized in these next few weeks. We had an awesome miracle this week with
a teenager named Ronaldo. He has been going to church in another ward and
moved here. His dad is a giant police officer but said that he say the
truthfellness in our eyes and let us teach Ronaldo and mark his baptism.
Sunday, we had Jennifer´s baptism. We reactivated her family and
everyone is happy as heck. We are preparing her brothers to be
missionaries. Carol, our recent convert, brought her friend to church and
he wants to be baptized. Also Gilnara, another recent convert, was called
to be a primary teacher! Woohoo. President Cruz gave a talk in our ward
about our godly heritage and it was awesome.
Today we went on the top of a mountain in the middle of porto
alegre. We had a vision of the whole city. As I was seating there i was
astonished of how many houses there were. Tons of houses all sticked
together on one hill. I thought about all the people out there that have
never even heard of the gospel. As members we have tons of work to do. As
Brigham Young said, "above all else our biggest duty is to preach the
gospel". Try to preach the gospel a little bit more this week.
