Today I taught relief society. Our yearly theme is 2 Nephi 25:26 We talk
of Christ, rejoice in Christ, preach of Christ, prophecy of Christ...so our
children will know. I told them why I felt inspired for this to be our
theme. I started off thinking about what are the challenges the mothers are
facing today? What are we battling against? Whether we are a young mom or
grandma, we are all battling against evil and how to save our families. So
then I thought -what can we do about this? how can we save our children and
our families and our marriages? And that's when I thought of this
scripture- we talk of Christ... so our children will know. So then the rest
of the lesson was how to do this- talk, rejoice, preach, prophesy of
Christ. And then the blessings from making this a priority. It went really
well. Lots of comments and participation. I'm relieved it is over. I don't
like giving lessons to adults. I like teaching youth or children. I had
much guidance from the Spirit. So thankful for the help He gives me.
