Week 33: Sakura and Service II

I don't have much to write about. What are the highlights for this week?

-Sakura is amazingly beautiful
- We had an investigator come to church, and it was very successful! He also said he wants to be baptized, so maybe 5 is the magic number.
- We biked around a lot!
- My companion is a pro at Family History dendou. We are able to talk to a lot more people as we relate the inherent love that Japanese people have for their ancestors to the gospel. That's pretty fun
- we had various opportunities to participate in planned service projects for the city.
- I'm still studying Japanese.
- it's transfer week. We’re pretty sure that my companion is going to be transferred, so that's kinda sad. However, I'm excited to see who my next companion might be.
- I'm still the branch pianist, and it's very difficult. I'm studying the scriptures fervently to try and find the Gift of Accompaniment, because I really need the Lord's help.
- I downloaded and listened to all of President Monson's talks since 1986 and all of President Nelson's talks since 1984. That was pretty amazing. I can truly testify that the apostles and presidents of the church are truly called of god.

I'd like to quickly share a quote from one of President Monson's talks that I really love. He says "Do not pray for tasks equal to your abilities, but pray for abilities equal to your tasks. Then the performance of your tasks will be no miracle, but you will be the miracle." Our God is a God of miracles. I have seen a few on my mission and throughout my life. Some of them big and some small, but the greatest miracle that this Gospel provides is the opportunity for us to become better than we are. The opportunity to become as God is.

Tell you next week what crazy things happen because of transfers. Love you all!
