Coeur d’Alene

Elder Concoby

Hey everyone,

Wow this is it. I go home in two days. Crazy! Looking back the time has gone by so fast. It was quite the journey. I'm excited to see my family and friends that I haven't seen for a while. But I am super sad to leave Spokane. A part of me will always be here in the North West.

I want to say thank you. Thanks to my family and friends that supported me while I was out here. Thanks to the awesome companions and other missionaries that I served around. Thanks to the amazing people that I had the opportunity to teach and serve. Thanks to my two amazing mission presidents that helped me so much. Thank you Spokane. I love ya.

I wrote out what my mission means to me to share with my mission president and I wanted to put that into this email. It's kind of long so if you don't read it, don't feel bad.

I'll see some of you soon! Love you all!

For the last time...

What my mission means to me

My mission has meant everything to me. It's very hard to put into words all of the amazing feelings that I have from everything that has occurred over the last two years. I can say that I have become the man that God needs me to be. I still have things to work on of course, but I have been able to become truly converted to the Lord. I have found that conversion through feeling the love that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for me. I know that God is my Father and I know that He sent His son to earth to suffer and die so that I can repent for all of the things that I mess up on.

I have come to know what repentance really means. It comes down to one word. Change. I had never thought of it that way before my mission but I love it! I have loved being able to repent throughout the last two years. I have changed into a much better person then I ever thought that I could be. If I were able to see myself now at the begginning of my mission, I would never have believed who I have become. I have loved the opportunity to learn and grow. It hasn't been easy to make these changes but it's definitely been worth it.

I have learned so much during the course of my mission. From learning from companions, other missionaries, and the scriptures, it's been incredible! I learned a different lesson from each of my companions and all the missionaries that I had the opportunity to serve around. They have all been great! The Spokane mission really does have the best missionaries! I have really come to love the scriptures and I do my very best to apply the things taught in them to my life. It's really helped me to receive inspiration and knowledge about how I can better develop my relationship with God. I really do love the scriptures, especially the book of mormon.

It's been a journey the last two years. These years definitely have been the best two years for my life. I have been able to grow so much and I will forever look back and be grateful for the experiences that I have had. I'm so thankful for everyone that helped me along the way. I'm also so thankful to my Heavenly Father for pushing me out the door so that I could come here and have the best experience ever!
