We like to make sure to get people to send photos home :)

Thank you for letting me know about Grandpa :)

I played organ in Sacrament and Come Thou Fount as a musical number. Lots

Love you!

Dear Son,
I ordered your garment tops. I got the crew cut for you. You should
receive them shortly. I would save the old ones for when you paint next.
Lol.
How are the service projects and teaching going? I love your letters! I
see tremendous growth in you.Bob Buhr talked about you today. I am
guessing he is sending you letters. Sister Lee said she loved reading your
letters too. Any snow?
The choir sang The Lord is My Shepherd today. I had three men come up to
me and say "I had shivers run up and down my spine (Brother Harpool) Bruce
Schumacher said how great it was and I asked him to start coming. Then a
new man Brother Wilhelm started bawling in the bass section on the first
verse. He was so overcome with the Spirit. Mitch Coombs also came up and
apologized for not coming to choir. That was his way of saying how much he
loved it and that he wanted to come to practice. You wouldn't believe what
they are doing! They are singing with the Spirit and it sound like angels
are singing with them. It's life-changing. It is so cool! I am trying very
hard to find the right pieces for them. I have been particularly impressed
with doing Primary arrangements. I also want to start a tradition with
missionary farewells.
We are doing OK. We love the pictures that your people are sending us. We
never had that with the other boys. E-mail wan't really around during
Jason's mission and only half-way during Ryan's mission but no cell phone
pictures.
I best let you go. Can't wait to read your letter!
Dad has a flash drive full of Westlake pictures but I have to wait until
he is ready with them before he will let me send one. Here is a tidbit
about him. He was on his way to Alaska when he came into Raymond, Idaho
where Reha's family lived. He fell in love with her, joined the church,
waited a year and got married in the temple. They bought their first little
home in Bennington. Grandpa was a welder during WWII, working on building
ships I think. In Bennington he drilled water wells all over the tri-state
area. He served in the bishhopric. He LOVED to fish. He was a wonderful
father-in-law.
Love,
Mom
