Our Children Will Laugh When We Say:
Hello!
I cut my own hair this week... I showed my companion and he was like, "Why
do you think there's professionals that do this?" 0_0 He showed me some
missed spots and I fixed them haha :) They were all in the back of my head
so I couldn't see them :). Needless to say at Zone Conference a lot of
people told me it looked good and then I told them it was my first time
cutting it by myself and they were all like, "What? You cut it yourself?
Wow!" Haha saved 20 bucks! Hooray!
We had Zone Conference yesterday, it was really powerful. The 12 Apostles
and Jesus Christ trust this generation of missionaries with smartphones and
technology, to not give into temptation. They said that when the current
youth of the church are told not to smoke and drink, we laugh and ask, "Is
that even a problem?" For our parents and grandparents, it was. They raised
us to be immune to it. The Apostles said that we're going to be the mothers
and fathers that raise a pornography-immune generation, just how our
parents raised us to be immune to drugs and alcohol. When our kids are told
to not indulge in pornography, they'll laugh and say, "Is that even a
problem?" We all thought that was pretty cool.
We got to go to Mount Rushmore after Zone Conference. That was super cool!

It's been really cool having Elder Jacobs as a companion, because we both
are trying our best to be as obedient as possible, even to the little rules
that seem really ridiculous. Trust me, some of them seem really ridiculous
haha, but we've noticed that as we obey them willingly, we have been so
blessed. After being here for just two weeks together, our teaching pool is
about 20 lessons a week, and we have 5 people on date, and have the
opportunity to have a 6th. We've received a lot of referrals from people,
and we are so busy that we get almost no down time. Our Bishop and Stake
President loves us, and they even told our Mission President how much they
do. Our mission president told us that the attitude in this ward regarding
missionaries as 180'd. Being obedient to everything and intentionally
loving people brings blessings!!! I'm so grateful to have Elder Jacobs!!!
