Companion

Kuchen!

Hello!

Transfers are this week. I'll be staying here until at least the next one,
around January 10th or so.

On Thanksgiving, my companion reached down to grab something, and he split
his pants, right in front of the Sister missionaries. :) The mom of the
family we were with let him wear her sweatpants. :)

I learned of a dish I haven't heard of before, kuchen. Think of a
pie/cheesecake with a sugar cookie crust, a layer of fruit filling, a layer
of custard, and snickerdoodle crumbles for the top. Super good!

It's pretty cool when you get to see people feel the Spirit for the first
time. We were teaching these people we had just met, specifically about
what the Spirit feels like, and they asked, "Does it ever feel like a
burning, a swelling, a sense of 'Man I want this!!!' rising within you and
pushing you towards this?" We said yes :). It was cool watching their
facial expressions as we continued to teach, as it was very apparent that
they were feeling the Spirit, and it was very new to them. They want to
learn more. :)
