This week our entire mission had the privilege of meeting Elder Quentin L.
Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. We also got to meet Bishop
Waddell of the Presiding Bishopric, Elder Soarez of the Presidency of the
Seventy, and Elder Parella of the Seventy. We got to shake hands with them,
and hear from them. It was a great weekend, and my testimony has grown
incredibly.
I've always understood that Apostles are special witnesses of Jesus Christ,
but that took on a whole new meaning when we met Elder Cook and heard him
talk about Jesus. Definitely meet an Apostle someday haha. Pay attention
when they speak. It was also really cool when he gave an apostolic blessing
upon this whole mission. He blessed us to come to know that serving a
mission is absolutely crucial to our lives, that serving one will bless
every single person we know, and our future spouses, future children, and
more. He said that nothing we could do is better than serving a mission for
the rest of our lives. Serving a mission will bless the rest of our eternal
lives so incredibly, you can't afford to not serve one.
Almost two weeks ago, our entire zone fasted to find new investigators,
because we were all having a drought of finding new ones. From this fast,
last week we found four new investigators, and three of them seem really
solid, and already believe in all the important things we believe in. We
also have a referral we're going to meet with soon. Fasting works people.

1: This is an awesome family in our ward, who lives an hour away from the
church building in a town of about 100-500 people, and comes to church and
mutual each Sunday and Wednesday. They also own three of these buses.
They're awesome. :)
