Howdy y'all!
The other day, we ran into this bible basher who was really bad at bible
bashing. Here's just one snippet of the conversation...
Him: "Joseph Smith wrote the Book Of Mormon!"
Me: "You think Joseph Smith wrote the Book Of Mormon?"
Him: "Yes."
Me: "You think a fourteen year-old, with a third grade education, wrote
this book in two months? Have you read the Book Of Mormon?"
Him: "I confess I have not."

We were tracting one day, and we ran into this person who apparently is the
niece of the Elder's Quorum President in our ward. We're going to have
lessons with her! That's cool.
Another day, we were tracting and we ran into this young mechanic. After we
(I) talked cars with him on his doorstep for 30 minutes, I made a deal with
him. He teaches us (me) a 30 minute lesson on mechanics and how to work on
cars, and we teach him a 30 minute lesson on Jesus. He accepted! We'll see
when we get that appointment set up.
We had a lesson with an investigator, in a member's home! We all had dinner
and a lesson. It was fun with their six kids under the age of six running
around. (Read: pure chaos :) ) It was hilarious lol, the investigator loved
it, and all the kids loved him. He's making some good progress. We're
excited for him.
We also ran into another lady that has been having some intense struggles
lately. It is incredible how God prepares people to receive His Gospel. She
might be moving (like, today), so we'll see how that goes.
Check out "Make Your Bed", by Admiral McRaven. The speech given in 2014,
and the book. Our ward mission leader (a missionary's best friend) showed
it to us. And is buying me a copy of the book (I offered to pay him!!!).
Also, yesterday was my two year anniversary of my spine surgery!!! It's
amazing how awesome the last two years have been. I'm so grateful to live
in a time of modern medicine!!! :)
