Hey everyone! I hope that everyone had as good of a week as we did!
This week we had our combined Zone Conference on Tuesday and it was great experience! President Kupu started with his opening remarks and then we had a presentation from Elder Johnson who is the area medicare specialist. After him we had a nice lunch and then we continued with the rest of the Zone Conference learning a lot and receiving a lot of instruction. The mission is going to go through some changes soon... the conference took 8 hours.... but it was a very good spiritually uplifting experience. My companion Elder Olsen gave his exit testimony and did a really good job. I am not going to lie it was kinda hard not to get teary eyed. He has served a wonderful mission and has taught me a lot just in the short amount of time we have been together so far. We wish this transfer would last a long time haha...
To summarize the rest of the week we did a lot of work. It seemed like we were always running from place to place nonstop! It was good though. We were able to put 3 more of our investigators on date for baptism which puts us up to 5 on date now. This week we also held a baptism for our investigator Levy. It was another really good experience. Levy is such a good guy. This week we taught him a lot but he was ready to learn and get baptized. On Sunday he bore his testimony during sacrament meeting all on his own because he felt the urge, we didn't even have to encourage him to do it. He bore a wonderful testimony and after church he was baptized by our Ward Mission Leader. It was awesome to see most of the members in the ward stay after to watch and support him. This coming Sunday he will be confirmed in sacrament meeting. Along with all of that we had 6 other investigators at church so it made it a wonderful fast Sunday.
All in all it was another great week, a lot happened! Until next week. Make it a great one. Sending love from Zambia!
Ps. I started driving this week haha Sister Kupu told me at Zone to start driving because my comp is going home soon, so yeah that has been eventful. I scared my comp a few times because it took a while to get used to driving on the other side of the road and the driver side is opposite so the stick to shift gears has to be done left handed. Haha I was able to catch on pretty fast though so all is well.
