Week 2 in LUSAKA!

Muli Bwanji? (How are you?) Well I guess I have had to get used to saying things in Nyanja these days because that is the language spoken in Lusaka. The good thing is that it is still similar to Bemba, kind of.

This week me and my companion Elder Olsen had a really busy week filling with meetings and activities! On Tuesday we attended the quarterly District/Zone Leader Training. We received the training from President Kupu about how we can best help our Zones and Districts implement the 6 and 12 week planning. This is something that we have recently received instruction on to help the missionaries in the mission to have more success by planning for the long term not just the short term. Also during the training we met the new Senior Couple, Elder and Sister Fakalaka from Tonga, sort of haha. They are originally from Tonga but have lived in the US for quite some time. They are wonderful missionaries with a very big passion for missionary work. We are lucky to have them in our mission. Especially sense our Malawian Senior Couples will be going home soon.

Well on Wednesday of this week we were able to attend our District meeting which went well. Their was definitely some training that happened but it was good. Thursday was just a normal day going around ministering to members and teaching investigators. We have two really powerful investigators on date right now that should be baptized in the upcoming week or two. Their names are Levy and Tnashi. Both have been to church consistently for over two months now so they are very committed and will be powerful members soon.

On Thursday we had our first Zone Activity and it was way fun! We combined the Lusaka and Woodlands together to play sports. We got to play volleyball, ping-pong and basketball. It was fun to see President and Sister Kupu join the mix and have fun playing with us. It was a great opportunity for me to get to know a lot of the missionaries in the mission.

Friday we had another normal day or proselyting and the same goes for Saturday. I also got to do another baptismal interview for one our or District Leaders baptismal candidates that stays in our Zone. Sunday was great getting to see so many of the members and investigators after visiting their homes during the week. I feel connected to my new area already. All in all it was another great week. That's a wrap until next week. Sending love from Zambia!!

Sorry the pictures are few this week but we found some cows out in the bush by our investigators house haha and their are some pictures of my trainer and current companion. We also celebrated some birthdays this week with some members.
Until next week,
Elder Robins
