Howdy everyone! It was so great to skype the fam this week! I loved seeing all of your beautiful faces!
Aw man this week was so busy it was sweet! Elder Pulsipher and I taught a lot and we got like 3 new investigators and it was so rewarding! There's this thing called the "six week trend" where missionaries don't work as hard because of the possibility of getting transferred but that had no effect on us!
Sadly though, Elder Pulsipher is leaving and is going to Portales, New Mexico and I'm getting Elder Parkin. I have no clue who he is and I'm not sure what's going to happen this transfer. Hopefully we'll continue to work hard and get things done here in Amarillo.
So Cinco De Mayo was this week and it was sweet! A lady from our ward fed us that day and she gave us sombreros and fed us tacos! It was sweet! We're helping Juan to get on a mission and here's a funny picture of him putting on a sombrero!
This is our district and we're losing half of them and getting new elders to replace them! it's sad but exciting to see the change that's going to happen.
Elder Pulsipher drew a painting of the tree of life in a modern day view and wrote a note on the back and it was pretty funny!
So we taught Michael and his girlfriend Tara this week and it went awesome! They both accepted a Book of Mormon and they said that they would read it! We committed them to baptism but we haven't set a date yet. We're going to meet with them again this week and we're going to set up a date with them! It's exciting to see people that are prepared to hear the Gospel after so much effort on finding people to teach!
These last 6 weeks have flown by so fast and I knew that it wasn't going to last forever, sadly. I'm pretty nervous for this next transfer but I know that as I look for strength in the Lord that he will help me be the leader that I need to be. I hope all of you have a great week this week! I know we need to look to the Lord for guidance in everything that we do!
