Packing/Casper

Wow! I can’t believe my last transfer is here. Crazy to think that this 2 year journey is over in just over 5 weeks. It’s been full of ups and downs but I wouldn’t change this experience for anything in the world. I’ve learned so much and grown so much. But it’s not over yet, thank heavens! This week went pretty fast. We had another one of our youth hangouts this week and played kick ball and had s’mores and shared the message of Alma and Amulek. I will miss the youth hangouts! We also we’re able to help out with a triathlon that was going on in Loveland. While most of the missionaries were at water stations, or in the shade, we got to sit at a very busy highway and tell people a very busy road was blocked... luckily we had a construction flagged there, but we still got yelled at quite a bit. A lot of very colorful language as well. But it was a good time for the most part. The smiths came to church this week and I am really going to miss them. I have loved teaching and working with them and love them so much. What a great family. If you haven’t guessed already, I am being transferred tomorrow way up to Casper! I’m very excited to go up for my last transfer and to spend it with one of my best friends from the mission. It will be a great way to end my mission I hope! So I will send out the new address as soon as I get it!
Now for a spiritual thought. This one might be a stretch. But as I sit here packing, I have noticed that I have gotten much better at packing throughout my mission. Somehow I keep acquiring things, and somehow I still get everything packed. Besides the stuff I’ve sent home already. But each time is still difficult to fit everything, however it always ends up working out. And I think that is so much like the gospel. We are never going to be perfect in the gospel. At least not in this life. But the more we experience things, and the more effort and time we put into things, the better we will become! I’m definitely not perfect at packing, but I’m a lot better than I once was! We take on new challenges and hardships throughout life, but each time we overcome those things, we grow so much stronger. We gain so much more knowledge. And not only are we better equipped for the next time around, but we are now in a position to help others who might be struggling with that same thing. We just continue to learn and grow. “Now is the time to prepare to meet god”. Let’s not waste a moment of the time we could use to prepare to meet god. Love y’all! Have a great week!

Love,
Elder Littlewood
