Elder Borges

Hey everybody! I’m so sorry this is so late! We went to the temple today and that just threw off our whole day. This week was pretty good. We had a lesson with a part member family and we are hoping to continue working with them as time goes on and see the young son get baptized! We helped our ward mission leader move his food storage. And when I say helped I mean we did it all... to put it nicely, I have never seen somebody who was more prepared with food storage in my entire life. It took 5 hours... Friday we drove to longmont for Elder borges to take his English test. Hopefully he did well! So that day was gone. Saturday we were loaded with service as well. We helped our members with their yard. We were filling in all the gaps from sod that didn’t grow together. It was a super tedious process but got some nice sun and was out by the lake so it was great. Sunday was Sunday... loads of church. I guess it’s the best use of time! Lots of learning! Monday guess what? More service! This one was not nice either. We helped unload a really gross storage pod. And today we got to go to the temple which was a huge blessing! Since it was such a service oriented week, my spiritual thought for the week is a scripture. It’s Mosiah 2:24. It says “17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.” As missionaries we are called to serve. That service can take many different forms. I have loved to render service to those in need. And this scripture really puts it into perspective. I know that Heavenly Father is pleased with us when we serve his children. So look for opportunities to bless others! Sorry this is so short, but I hope y’all have a great week and I love y’all!
