Personal Revelation
Hey everybody,
I feel like it was just yesterday that we had transfers, but yet again it is transfer time. I am very lucky to be able to stay here in Loveland in the wards I’m in. Elder Oates will be leaving and going up to riverton Wyoming! He is very excited to be in Wyoming again. My new companion is elder Borges. He is originally from Brazil and from what I know he is a great guy! It’s his last transfer so there is a good chance I will stay in Loveland yet another transfer after this one. We will see though. That is still a long ways away. Today is also my 20 month mark! It’s hard to believe the time has gone that fast. Unfortunately, this week was a pretty slow one. We had lots of appointments cancel. Luckily we had the opportunity to watch general conference this weekend which was amazing! So many new and exciting changes in the church! And 7 new temples! What a huge blessing. There were so many people who stressed on the importance of the Holy Ghost and learning how to listen to him, and then using that to receive personal revelation. I love that focus. There is something powerful about receiving your own revelation for yourself. I know that each and every one of us is capable of doing so! We also got to spend Easter with the members we live with. They asked us to plan a scavenger hunt to and Easter egg hunt for their grandkids which turned out to be super fun! It was a little hectic but it was fun to be around people and have a good time. We also celebrated Elder Oates birthday! That was fun as well. So the week ended on a great note. But it was still pretty rough. I’m looking forward to this next transfer. I’m hoping to see lots of success! I know I’ve talked a little bit about personal revelation already, but I think that’s a good focus. I don’t have much more to say about it, but I would encourage you all to receive your own personal revelation for things you need. And really take the time to read over and study the general conference talks again. President Nelson said we can get more out of general conference after the conference itself is over as we study the talks that were given on our personal time. I again testify that you are entitled to receive your own revelation but we must be willing to put in the work. That is one thing president Nelson talked about. I hope everybody had a happy Easter Sunday! I love you all!
