Bag of Monkey

So people here have massive wells in their houses. Massive holes just dug in the ground that get filled up with all the underground pools of water. About every month or two they have to empty it and take out as much mud as possible. With one bucket, we emptied a well that was about 5 feet wide and 15-20 feet deep. It took over 2 hours!

Afterwards we were resting in the shade and this older dude just casually struts out of the trees holding a rifle in one arm, and a bag of monkey in the other. He gave us a wave and went on his way.

This week Montserrat and Carmen got baptized!! It was super cool to see 14 year old Carmen's faith and desire to be baptized. Her parents aren't members. They gave her permission to be baptized, and we talked with them many times about the baptismal service making sure they'd be able to go. On Saturday Carmen showed up to the baptismal service alone saying she knew the church was true and wanted to be baptized. She came to church the next day by herself. Super cool faith!

Que tengan un día bendecido!
