Hola a todos! Happy 12 days of Christmas! This week was so blistering hot, but luckily its supposed to rain everyday this week.
Today for zone p day we went paintballing. Never in my life did I imagine myself playing paintball in Bolivia! But here I am. So fun! And as with most things here, I am honestly surprised no one was seriously injured!
This week Elder Haynie and I had a lot of powerful lessons about the Book of Mormon, and about the Atonement. Two of the best and most important topics to teach! It's been really awesome to see people's perspective of their Savior be enlightened, and see them realize the hope and joy that can only come through our Savior’s atonement.
Being out here in Bolivia has given me a new outlook on Christmas. The things that to me have always been Christmas (snow, family, winter break, decorations everywhere, presents, candy cane, skiing, etc.) aren't really available to me. But in turn this Christmas season has been a Christ centered time. As President Monson put it, rather than the "spirit of Christmas," it's been more of the "Spirit of Christ." President Monson also said "If we are to have the very best Christmas ever, we must listen for the sound of sandaled feet. We must reach out for the Carpenter’s hand. With every step we take in His footsteps, we abandon a doubt and gain a truth...My prayer is that at this Christmas season and all the Christmastimes to come, we may follow in His footsteps. Then each Christmas will be the best Christmas ever."
Please enjoy all of the things that mean Christmas to you! The parties, decorations, treats, and especially the snow. But in these last couple days before Christmas, how can you follow in His footsteps and better invite the Spirit of Christ?
Love you all!
Que tengan un día bendecido, y Feliz Navidad!!
