This week was way awesome! Elder Renlund came and talked to us, and he shook all of our hands. It’s so fun being here at the MTC with all the friends from BYU coming in and out. It’s like a little freshman reunion!
To be honest, being in class for hours a day is not the easiest thing, but I love the quote, "If everyday were sunny, the land becomes a desert. For it to become a paradise, it requires substantial amounts of rain.” (said by the mission president that got injured in the Belgium airport bombing.) This lets us know that our trials should not get us down, but that we should embrace them and let our trials build us up. That is what a mission is all about, forgetting yourself, and getting lost in the work. Missions really do change people! The guy over all the international MTCs talked to us last night and showed us pictures of before and after photos of missionaries that have served . You could really see the Light of Christ reflected in their eyes as you know they have come to know of the love our Heavenly Father has for us and the happiness the gospel brings to people’s lives.
