Here in Taiwan it's called Resurrection Day. That's so fitting. A member asked us why it's called 'Easter' which both my companion and I were stumped. Turns out that Easter comes from the Latin and German? word of Eastrus, that being the goddess of rebirth. In a way this Easter day is the remembering of Christ's rebirth, the re-combining of body and spirit to become the first to overcome the death brought because of the Fall of Adam and Eve. Though we need to remember him every week, this is a good reminder to recommit to him and be a a better disciple of Christ!
